Boring Blog

I am exhausted from completing my assignment this week (8.1). I wanted the assignment to be visually pleasing, yet informational. While I was able to find a plethora of information regarding blog writing, web writing for gaming tips was an elusive task. I searched for hits by using several key words, with very little results. Therefore, I found some helpful sites for general web writing. I also provided a link of a gaming tips site to serve as a model.

This blog is getting boring, due to my lack of different visual content. Therefore, I need to add pictures. This is on my task list for this week. I will be taking some pictures of projects and technology projects from my classroom. Stay tuned!

  1. Good morning Melissa enjoyed your blog tips particularly the Edublog located on YouTube, very well put together; I also liked the blogging rubric, very good tool for young students as well as adults.

Melissa as you know creating blogs are not just to express ones feelings, but have multiple uses from de facto news sites to marketing blogs, learning tools, writers' drafting blogs, corporate dark blogs, fictional blogs, and social media just to name a few. Because they are so user friendly, it is a great possibility that they will surpass the amount of websites on the internet.

I guess you could say this is a cheap and less labor intensive way to have a presence on the web, rather than having a full blown website. All the more reason to know and understand how writing for the web is essential, ensuring the intent and the connection with your audience is reached.

I also did a search on gaming tips, although most tips were game specific like the Skyrim example you gave, not very much on games in general. However there are quite a few blogs on particular games. Your references are appreciated; hopefully they’ll stay active in the future. Good job
